Heading home.

The last three days of our trip were

some of the most beautiful.

Sometimes we felt as if we had gone back in time.

"A Land Remembered"

We saw a lot of wildlife.
I missed some of the best shots because I
was helping with the boat or my camera was
not cooperating.

There were so many great picture opportunities.

Going through the Okeechobee Waterway

made for a fun, fun day!

Nature at its best.

Pirate Ships

Have you ever looked for Pirate ships?

On our latest adventure I found myself doing just that.

You see this little guy is 

fasanated with Pirates.

 I am his Gigi. Gigi has been missing

her little Jude (grandson).

Children have a way of helping us see

things with new eyes.

Pirates at sea!

Pirates in port!

A pirate ship is coming home with us.

LOL!

It seems the Pirates had already

been here.

Shades of Green

Sights on Bald Head Island

Jay and I spent an afternoon exploring the island.

Climbing up Old Baldy was exhilarating.

This was the only light keeper we saw 

when we got to the top of Old Baldy.

 

This sweet little chapel sits next door to the 

lighthouse.

Services are twice on Sunday.

I'll bet there are a lot of weddings here

Gorgeous  hydrangeas surrounded the chapel

in pink and blue.

Everywhere we looked while on the island

 these wind flowers waved hello.
