Jewelry-Sunflower Cuff

It's a crisp fall morning, as I step out of the front door of my
white clapboard farm house. The sun is shining brightly onto
a field of green and yellow.
Slowly bright yellow frilly circles with long strong stems
and heart shaped leaves turn to face the sun.
With their faces tilted it seems that these sunflowers
  have just spotted me
and are beckoning me to come and see them.
This simple pine box has just arrived at your door.
What could be in this box?
Go ahead.... open it.
As you open this box
are you imagining that field of sunflowers?
Oh look a sunflower!
Please pick it up, hold it, feel it.
Thats what all my jewelry is about,
the touch and feel of our wonderful world.
Take this cuff in your hand and feel the two layers
of frilly brass pedals.
Don't forget the center of this sterling silver
 sunflower, it has many seeds.
When you look at this piece from the side you will see
the veins of the sunflower's heart shaped sterling silver leaves.
These leaves stand tall at almost three inches
at their widest point and narrow down to
one quarter of an inch in the back of the cuff.
The sides of the leaves curl up
giving room for movement of the arm
as well as the illusion of a leaf on a warm day.
 I love connecting pieces.
My hope is that my cuffs are not seen as pieces of metal soldered together,
but that they are viewed as captured moments.
