The rehearsal dinner will be held at the
Bradenton Recreation Hall,
established in 1928.
Yellow walls welcome you as the worn red floors support the vintage
green felt top wooden pool tables.
This is the place where business men come for lunch during the week
and bring their families on the weekends
for the best burger in town.
A place where one can walk through the doors
and feel as if they have just gone back in time.
The Groom's great grandfather,
Council, was the founder of this pool hall and
his son Lawton has taken care to keep
this establishment as original as possible.
I felt the invitation's for the rehearsal dinner
needed to be hand made giving our guest
a feel for the evening ahead.
My plan was to try to make the invatation look like
an old chalkboard that you might have seen in a diner
years ago with the day's specials written on it.
My supplies were
thin cork with writing on it,
black card stock,
white pen, rivets and green raffia.
As I made each invitation
my Mom used her lovely handwriting
and wrote in all the information.
(Thank's MOM )
I placed a small rivet on the left corner of each invitation
and tied a little raffia bow at the top.
The perfect invite for this wonderful casual
rehearsal dinner venue.
