Terra-cotta Glam

Todays craft
How to turn an ordinary terra-cotta pot into something glamorous.
For this project you will need:
 terra-cotta pot
two small round hard bristle stencil brushes
Liquid Leaf paint - Classic Gold
double pigmented acrylic metallic paint - Baroque Pearl
old english - dark scratch cover
an old rag
First step
Shake your liquid gold paint, open the lid leaving the lid handy.
Barely dip a dry stencil brush into your gold paint.
(You only need a small amount of paint.)
Tap the paint on to the inside lid of your paint container.
( A little goes a long way.)
With a light hand start painting your pot from left to right,
making your way down the bottom of your terra-cotta pot.
Do this all the way around your pot.
Step Two
Put a small amount of your pearlized paint into a container.
Use a small amount of paint on a dry stencil brush,
tap brush onto a dry surface
so that there is only a small amount of paint on your brush.
Paint your pot going from left to right
making your way down to the bottom of your pot.
Do this all the way around your pot.
 Step Three
With your dry paint brush and your pearlized paint
use a circular motion and fill in the spaces.
( being careful not to cover up to much of your gold paint.)
Do this all the way around your pot.
Step Four
With your dry paint brush place your liquid gold paint
onto your pot lightly going over the pearlized paint.
Do this all the way around your pot.
Your pot should have a gold -silver look.
You may love your pot as it is now and that is wonderful.
If you want to dull your paint down try this little trick.
Put a small amount of old english dark scratch cover on an old rag.
With a light circular motion barely touch it in your pot.
(You do not need to cover the whole pot.
You just want to hit the high spots.)
Do this all the way around your pot.
You now have a glamorous terra-cotta pot.
This process can be done on anything terra-cotta.
I'm thinking Christmas, Wedding, New Years......
