Christmas Craft - Gingerbread Houses

This year the Anderson's, Taylor's, and Batey's
built their gingerbread houses
on Useppa Island.
Well, we built them on a table in
Floridian Cottage that
is on Useppa Island.
After everyone had finished their evening meal we all
found a comfortable chair and placed our
favorite drinks in front of us.
The candy was placed on the table, icing too,
and the gingerbread was handled with care.
Felicia and Avery worked diligently on their house
with a little help from Jeremy.
Dad patiently filed the sides of his
miniature houses so that they would
 stand up well.
He gently iced and decorated them.
Rachel won the prize this year.
She rolled fondant into trim and made small bushes
that lined the sides of her house.
Josh claimed that his house was destroyed by
Hurricane Sandy and that FEMA was
coming to the rescue.
FEMA never came so Josh jokingly pretended to be
Hurricane Sandy and tried to destroy all the other houses.
Everyone gave Sandy there silly smiles
and she, or should I say, he changed his
mind and blew away.
That is the tale of the Floridian Cottage 2012
Gingerbread Houses.
