Marionette Papier Marché Puppets Part Three

The Useppa artists are gathering again.
Some are painting, knitting or needle pointing
while others are working on various
papier marche' projects.
Jane and I are continuing our puppet making.
Our head pieces that have the Styrofoam egg half's
inside of them are now ready to be removed.
We did this by carfully cutting away the back side
(the flat side of the egg).
Once the backside was open we trimed around it.
Making a flat edge.
We did this on both of our egg half's.
Because we had placed a plastic bag around our egg half's
before we started our paper marche' the eggs
come out very easily.
We put our two halves together and
taped them with masking tape.
Then we added our necks using a paper hub
and taped it onto our head piece.
Now it was time to Papier Marche' our head pieces again.
We have now placed four layers of papier marche' on
all of our pieces three times, allowing them to dry fully
after each layer.
I am very excited about our next step.
Stay Tuned!
