Something for the Domestic Diva

A little something for the Domestic Diva.
What you see before you are children's irons. The hunter gatherer in me pushes me to collect many things. Children's irons were something my daughter and I could collect together when she was young. Rachel and I  had a lot of fun going around to flea markets, garage sales, junk stores and even some antique stores.
Our irons date from the early 1900,s to about 1960's. The smallest iron is 1/2 in.,the largest iron is 7 in.
These irons are made of several different materials such as tin, iron, wood and or plastic.
When we saw this iron,it was a must have. It is pink, all little girls love pink, and Rachel was no exception. The iron caught her eye and the box caught mine. This little pink iron in the green and white box is electric.
These irons now sit on shelfs in my laundry room. When I walk by them I remember all the wonderful hours my daughter and I spent together looking for the prefect find. My daughter is now 24 and has a little girl of her own. Perhaps one day soon these small treasures will leave my care into hers. Collecting is not  about the item,  it's about the moments, past ,present and future.
