Nuts For Coconuts

( Pirate coconut by Warren Miller)

Two of the most frequently asked questions of Useppans are,
"What do you do on Useppa?"
and "Don't you get bored?"
We are never bored on Useppa.
Most of us can not even comprehend
that word. There is always something to do
and always something to be done.
Just ask Ronda the presidant of the
" Useppa Island Coconut Art Guild".
Ronda put out a call to all,
"Come join in the fun and help paint coconuts
 for the upcoming P.O.A. party.
So several island ladies gathered together.
We cleaned coconuts,
then we painted them all white.
Once all the coconuts were painted white on one side we
had to wait for them dry before we could piant the other side.
This worked out wonderfully for Judith and I becuase
Ronda had a surprize for us she said,"Time for a break."
Next thing we knew there were pastries,
home made fig and pear perserves,
coffee and tea placed right in front of us.
 Delicious!
We finished painting our coconuts white,
let them dry and regrouped a little later.
Look, more ladies, more fun!
(Ginny A., Ginny T., Warren, Judith, Colleen and Ronda)
We all had a blast painting whimsical
things on our coconuts.
Ginny Amsler shows us her
coconut painting.
Thank you Ronda and all the ladies from
"The Useppa Island Coconut Art Guild" for a wonderful
day of coconut painting.
