Summer Travels-The Eastern Shore

Onancock,Va.
is a beautiful town established in 1649.
As you take a stroll through this small town
you will feel as if you have just stepped back
in time.
This charming little town sits right on the Onancock Creek.
The Town Warf is a wonderful destination for yachtsmen.
If your travels bring you here.
You must stop at the Charlotte Hotel.
This boutique hotel has wonderful accommodations.
In the evening you will find locals pushed up to the bar with owner
Gary Cochran telling stories as everyone is smiling and laughing.
Stay for an elegant evening meal
 you will not soon forget.
The works of artist and co-owner Charlotte Heath
will welcome you in as you dine in one of two elegant rooms
set with white linen table cloths.
As you enjoy your fabulous meal make sure to look around the room.
Charlotte's botanicals are beautiful intepretations of nature.
Don't forget to take a ride out into the countryside.
You will see beautiful farmland and wonderful homes.
Jay and I had the opportunity to visit
Vaux House, it was built in 1700 and sits on the
banks of Pungateague Creek.
