"Angel Watching Over Us"
was so named because of the angelic
pediment that sits in the crown of this large mirror.
Each of these driftwood mirrors evolve
from the time I pick up the first piece of driftwood
until the time I hide the last screw.
As I put these puzzles together they
begin to name themselves.
There she sits with arms open wide gathering in
all those who will come.
She holds them, watches over them
and protects them.
To some it may be just be a mirror.
To me its nature's outcast brought back to life.
Driftwood has so many colors and forms,
no two pieces are the same
each one so interesting and unique.
Some are curvy, some straight,
there are dark pieces and light pieces.
Some feel rough to the touch and some pieces
are very smooth.
Making one of these mirrors is a
labor of love
that I truly enjoy.
This strong and sturdy angel now watches
over a wonderful family
in North Carolina.
A very talented nature girl. I also appreciate the uniqueness of nature. Great work.
