A Stroll on Little Cranberry Island - Croquet - Sketch

A
 Stroll
 on
 Little Cranberry Island.
In the middle of our walk
we came to the Neighborhood House.
It just happened to be the house's 100th
anniversary.
In this ageless beauty you will find a museum,
library, rec hall, performance hall
and a living garden that wraps around the side
of the building onto the back yard.
Artist Ashley Bryan and other members of the community
gave a reading of Dr. Martin Luther King's
1962 speech," I Have a Dream."
They all did a great job. Many of us were
moved to tears.
Our walk continued with a visit to Ashley Bryan's
Studio. The time spent with Ashley was an incredible experience.
I hope to do a future blog of that experience.
After our visit with Ashley we continued our walk through
a woodland,
where we came upon these fairy houses.
Once we broke out of the wood
we walked onto a smooth rocky beach.
We found boulders where we sat an eat a picnic
lunch. Then some of as looked for sea glass.
Where ever there are Useppians there is usually
a croquet game,
and always winners!
  It was another incredible day
with friends.
And then there is the 4th sketch.
