Breakfast on the Lake - Sketch 8 -Lake Flowers

Getting ready for breakfast....
First comes a refreshing jump
in the lake.
Then a short ride in the Ram for some
local farm to table grocerys.
While Dan and Jay are out and about.
Linda and I make an arrangement for the table.
There is nothing like farm fresh eggs.
Really fresh, still warm to the touch fresh!
Dan and Jay grill the bacon
and sausge they just got from the farm
while Linda whips up the eggs.
Now it's time for a delicious breakfast
with a long view of Lake Saint Catherine.
Complete with home made cinnamon buns
from Julie's.

A Stroll on Little Cranberry Island - Croquet - Sketch

A
 Stroll
 on
 Little Cranberry Island.
In the middle of our walk
we came to the Neighborhood House.
It just happened to be the house's 100th
anniversary.
In this ageless beauty you will find a museum,
library, rec hall, performance hall
and a living garden that wraps around the side
of the building onto the back yard.
Artist Ashley Bryan and other members of the community
gave a reading of Dr. Martin Luther King's
1962 speech," I Have a Dream."
They all did a great job. Many of us were
moved to tears.
Our walk continued with a visit to Ashley Bryan's
Studio. The time spent with Ashley was an incredible experience.
I hope to do a future blog of that experience.
After our visit with Ashley we continued our walk through
a woodland,
where we came upon these fairy houses.
Once we broke out of the wood
we walked onto a smooth rocky beach.
We found boulders where we sat an eat a picnic
lunch. Then some of as looked for sea glass.
Where ever there are Useppians there is usually
a croquet game,
and always winners!
  It was another incredible day
with friends.
And then there is the 4th sketch.

Maine - Useppians - Hike - Sketch

Fifteen Useppians ready for our hike
around Jordan Pond and up the Bubble.
We're off.
Half way around the pond
Up we go! Hi, Paul!
Mary and Susie show us how to
climb up this very narrow and very steep
mountain.
Looks like we made it to the top.
766 feet high
Time for lunch.
Susie places her rock on the Kairn at very top of the Bubble.
Now we will head down the mountain.
Wow! Whow!
Seven miles up, around and down.
Time to play!
An amazing hike and fantastic day!
Today we woke up to a view of Cranberry Harbor encased in fog.
